A Different Perspective on COP31: Paris - Antalya Podcast Series Launched

COP

The Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) has launched the “Paris - Antalya Podcast” series, aiming to contribute to Türkiye’s COP31 Presidency from different perspectives. The series brings to the forefront often overlooked but critically important aspects of the climate crisis and the transformation process.

Topics such as education, local participation, biodiversity, just transition, cities, youth, energy transition, and the role of civil society are discussed with representatives from academia, local governments, and civil society.

In the first episodes, Burcu Meltem Arık from the Education Reform Initiative discussed the relationship between climate and education, while Sinan Erensü from the Center for Spatial Justice and Boğaziçi University spoke about the importance of local participation in the COP31 process.

Prepared as part of IPC’s COP31 work, the series aims to evaluate climate discussions not only at the level of international negotiations but also in terms of daily life and societal transformation.
